PSNI have now reversed their
stance on a serious attack
Ballymena SDLP
councillor Declan O’Loan has reacted to the news that
the PSNI have now reversed their stance on a serious attack on a house occupied
by Czech workers in the Moat Road
a few weeks ago.
He said, "I am most
interested to learn that the PSNI are now describing the Moat Road attack as racist. At the time,
that was the most likely explanation. Yet very quickly the PSNI said that it
was not racially motivated. I regard that as needing an explanation, and I will
be asking for one at the District Policing Partnership. Of course,
the information only adds to my concerns about the frequency of racial
incidents in Ballymena."
